Prelude Lake Wedding | Yellowknife Wedding Photography

Back In late fall, I sat in the Fat Fox Cafe across from this adorable, outgoing, fast talking girl.  We chatted for over an hour about life, business and everything between. She was easy to talk to and even funner to be around, I met Sam a few weeks later and their adorable dog whiskey and they just matched. A few months later she sends me an email. We are getting married!! We need you to photograph it! Of course, Yes.

Sam and Becca were getting married at a beautiful family cabin on Prelude Lake. They had planned to keep it small, intimate and lots of fun. The plan was to boat all the guests in, say a quick I do, snap some pictures and enjoy themselves with their nearest and dearest serving up gourmet BBQ.

Now usually July in Yellowknife, is gorgeous and Hot. Usually planning an outdoor wedding mid summer in the North is stress free. Usually, Usually...This has been a very unusual summer and for some reason or another we have had the wettest, coldest summer on record for a very long time.

Luckily, they are the sweetest, coolest easy going duo I could ask for.  Bonus, Im from B.C and useto my fair share of wet weather and know very well how beautiful it can all be.

Follow what feels good in the moment, every moment and it will lead through the most excellent life.
